Elk Meadow Cabins and Redwood Adventures

In the News and Media

We are proud to be stewards of the Elk Meadow Cabins in the heart of Redwood National Park.

We are proud and grateful so many others have made our homes a special place in their memories as well. Hope you can visit our homes and fall in love yourself!

“Location, location, location … and clean. This is a very convenient location for visiting Redwoods State and National Parks. Our cabin (Johnny Redwood) was very clean and spacious. All you need to bring is food (we flew into Medford so we bought a cooler and shopped there) and shampoo, all soaps provided including laundry soap. We found ourselves running the dishwasher when it wasn’t actually full due to a lack of glasses, but otherwise the kitchen was decently stocked. The actual setting of the cabins has about all the ambience of a parking lot. We were not bothered by road noise; the only thing that woke us up was the sounds the elk made when they arrived very early in the morning. Needless to say, that is not a complaint! We would definitely stay here again.”

“The best vacation so far!. Not only were the Redwoods amazing, but the cabins were just perfect! On our last couple days there were elk everywhere! I literally ate a quite breakfast on the porch within 50 or so feet or nearly 20 elk! Plus the tour guides were fantastic. We did a full day and a half day tour and I have to say everyone was amazing.

If anyone is going to visit the Redwoods, I would HIGHLY recommend these cabins.”

“A wise investment! A fantastic use of $ and time! Justin, our guide was amazing and provided us with information we couldn’t have gotten anywhere else. We highly recommend this excursion! My wife and I did this with our 19 and 17 year old kiddos. Thank you!”

“Coming to see the redwood trees had been on our bucket list for so many years, and we finally made it from Fort Lauderdale, Fl. The driving journey from San Francisco to Orick was long, but when we finally arrive at Elk Meadow Cabins we knew why we chose to drive. The drive is a most! However, when you finally get to see some of the oldest living things on this Earth it takes your breath away. We hire Redwood National Park Adventures and Justin took us on amazing trails. We were limited due to our three young children, but my children can’t stop talking about all the things they learned from Justin. He was well knowledgeable and the information he taught us about this biome was timeless. Therefore, hiring Redwood Adventure is a most. Trust me you won’t regret it! Thank you again Justin for taking us on an unforgettable journey through these spectacular trees!”

“Great experience with a great guide. This was our first time visiting Redwood National Forest & State Park. We took a tour through Redwood Adventures and Justin was our guide. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable answering all our questions and very patient with a 2 year old. I would highly recommend a tour through Justin on your visit to the Redwoods.”

“Loved our stay! Great location, comfortable, clean, and roomy accommodations, and the elk herd hung around for a couple days.”

“Our guide, Justin, made our introduction to the Redwood National Forest a great experience. This was our first visit to the Redwood National Forest and this 1/2 day tour really helped us better understand what to look for as we toured.”

“We had a very nice tour with Justin on Saturday morning. it was fun and educational. I couldn’t have imagined it being any better. I’m just assuming but I would think that Justin really enjoys his job.”

“An incredible place calls for an incredible guide. Justin did justice to the awe-inspiring redwoods. My daughter loves nature so we did two adventures, one on each day of our trip, and she had a fantastic time absorbing the knowledge and passion Justin brought to the experience. Bonus: he took some excellent pictures and sent them along to us after our trip and gave my daughter a nature journal with activities to complete and space to jot down her own thoughts about the park and its majestic trees. Highly recommend!”
